Grace supported the creation of schools designed to help underserved students get a great education, no matter their race, gender or socioeconomic status. Several of these schools were recognized by top education organizations as among the “top elementary schools in the Bay Area for Math for Latino students.”
Standing up for Equity in Education
Grace started the Strong Start Coalition, an organization dedicated to ensuring every student has the chance to obtain a high quality pre-K education, proven to provide students with an important advantage throughout their K-12 education.

Grace has been a long time member of the Board of Education Budget Advisory Committee where they passed a balanced budget every year and ensured savings to reserve a surplus for future needs.
